1. Introduction
Wallet AI ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance management application developed by Batuhan Senavci. The app helps you track expenses, manage budgets, set savings goals, and gain AI-powered financial insights. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what rights you have regarding your data. By using Wallet AI, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
All financial data in Wallet AI is manually entered by you. This includes:
- Expense and income records: amounts, categories, dates, and optional notes you attach to each transaction.
- Budget amounts: monthly or category-based budget limits you set within the app.
- Savings goals: target amounts, goal names, and progress you track.
- Subscription details: subscription names, renewal dates, and amounts you choose to log.
- Preferences: currency selection, notification settings, and display preferences.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Crash reports: Standard iOS crash diagnostics that help us identify and fix bugs.
- Device information: Operating system version and device type, collected automatically by iOS for compatibility and crash reporting purposes.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not access your bank accounts, credit cards, or any financial institution.
- We do not collect your location or GPS data.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable account information.
- We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Local Storage
All financial data you enter is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly request an AI analysis. The app does not have user accounts or cloud sync; your data lives solely on your iPhone.
3.2 AI-Powered Analysis
When you choose to use the AI analysis feature, the app sends your financial data (expense amounts, categories, dates, and notes) to the DeepSeek API through a secure Supabase proxy server. This is done solely to generate personalized financial insights and recommendations. Important details about this process:
- Data is transmitted only when you explicitly request an analysis.
- Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Your financial data is not stored on the proxy server or by DeepSeek. It is processed in real time and deleted immediately after the analysis result is returned to you.
- No server-side logs of your financial data are retained.
- You can stop using the AI analysis feature at any time; no data will be sent without your action.
3.3 Advertising
Wallet AI displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the app. To serve relevant ads, AdMob may collect the following information:
- Device advertising identifier (IDFA, if you have granted tracking permission).
- IP address and general (non-precise) location derived from it.
- Device type and operating system version.
- General app usage information for ad frequency and performance measurement.
Your financial data (expenses, budgets, savings goals, subscriptions, and notes) is never shared with AdMob or any advertising partner. Ad-related data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
Wallet AI integrates with the following third-party services:
- DeepSeek API (via Supabase proxy): Used exclusively for AI-powered financial analysis. Your financial data is sent only when you request an analysis and is not stored by DeepSeek or the proxy server after the response is delivered.
- Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and IP address for ad personalization and measurement. No financial data is shared with AdMob.
We do not integrate with any other third-party analytics, tracking, or data-brokering services beyond the two listed above.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: All financial data stored on your device is retained until you manually delete individual records within the app or uninstall the app entirely. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data.
- AI analysis data: Financial data sent for AI analysis is processed in real time and deleted immediately after the analysis result is returned. No copy is retained on any server.
- AdMob data: Data collected by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's data retention policies. You can manage your ad preferences through your device's privacy settings.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- Financial data is stored locally in the app's sandboxed storage, protected by iOS security mechanisms.
- All network communications (AI analysis requests) use industry-standard TLS/HTTPS encryption.
- The Supabase proxy server acts as a secure intermediary, ensuring API credentials are never exposed on your device.
7. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- View and edit: You can view, edit, or delete any expense, budget, savings goal, or subscription record at any time within the app.
- Delete all data: You can delete all app data by going to iOS Settings and deleting the Wallet AI app, which permanently removes the local SQLite database.
- Withdraw AI consent: You can stop using the AI analysis feature at any time. No data is sent to any server unless you actively request an analysis.
- Ad tracking: You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising identifier through iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Request data deletion: If you have any concerns or wish to request data deletion, you can contact the developer (see Section 11).
8. Children's Privacy
Wallet AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Google AdMob within the app is configured to serve child-safe advertisements in compliance with applicable regulations. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us immediately using the information in Section 11, and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. International Users
If you use Wallet AI outside of the country where the developer is based, please note that when you request an AI analysis, your financial data may be transmitted to servers located in other jurisdictions. By using the AI analysis feature, you consent to this transfer. All transfers are encrypted and data is deleted immediately after processing.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or applicable regulations. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
