Flood Pairs Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the iOS game Flood Pairs (the "Game") collects, why, and what choices you have. We kept it short on purpose.
1. Who we are
The Game is published by Batuhan Senavci, an individual developer, under the studio name Hoot Games ("we", "us"). We are the party responsible for the data described in this policy. Contact details are in section 9.
2. The short version
- You do not need an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- The Game sends anonymous gameplay and device data to two services that help us understand how the Game is played and how our advertising performs: GameAnalytics and Meta (Facebook SDK).
- On first launch the Game asks whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. You can say no and still play everything.
- The Game is not directed to children under 13.
2a. What we collect
All of this is collected automatically while you use the Game. It is linked to your device through an identifier, not to your name.
| Data | Examples | Collected by |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifiers | Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), a random ID that Apple assigns to our apps on your device. The Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking. | GameAnalytics, Meta |
| Gameplay and usage events | Session start and end, level started, completed or failed, time played, app opens, install event. | GameAnalytics, Meta |
| Device and app information | Device model, operating system version, app version, screen size, language, time zone, mobile carrier or network type. | GameAnalytics, Meta |
| IP address and approximate location | Your IP address, which can reveal an approximate location such as your country or region. We do not collect GPS location. | GameAnalytics, Meta |
The Game itself stores your level progress on your device. That progress is not uploaded to us.
3. Why we use it
- Analytics: to see how many people play, which levels are too hard, and where people stop playing, so we can improve the Game.
- Advertising measurement: to find out whether people who installed or opened the Game came from our ads on Meta's apps (Facebook, Instagram), so we can judge which ads work.
The current version of the Game does not show ads, does not offer purchases, and we do not sell your data for money.
4. Third parties that receive data
We use software development kits (SDKs) from these companies. They receive the data in section 2a directly from the Game.
- GameAnalytics (analytics). Uses IDFV as the user ID and adds the Advertising Identifier only if you allow tracking. See the GameAnalytics privacy notice.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook SDK, advertising measurement). Receives app install and app activity events and device information, and may match them with its own data to measure and optimize ads. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
We share data with these companies only to improve the Game and to measure advertising. GameAnalytics acts as our data processor under its terms, and Meta receives app event data under its Business Tools Terms. We expect both to protect the data to the same level as this policy describes and as their own privacy policies state. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. If we ever sell or transfer the Game, the data may be transferred with it.
Data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.
5. Tracking and your choice (App Tracking Transparency)
Apple requires an app to ask permission before it tracks you. Tracking here means linking data from the Game with data from other companies' apps and websites for advertising or ad measurement.
- When you first open the Game, iOS shows a prompt. If you tap Allow, the Advertising Identifier can be used for advertising measurement.
- If you tap Ask App Not to Track, we do not access your Advertising Identifier and we do not enable advertiser tracking in the Meta SDK. The Game works the same way.
- You can change this at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Even if you decline tracking, GameAnalytics and Meta may still receive the non-tracking analytics data in section 2a (for example IDFV-based events and device information) that is not used to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
6. How long we keep data, and deleting it
We keep analytics data only as long as we need it to evaluate and improve the Game, and then delete or anonymize it. The companies in section 4 keep data under their own policies.
Because the Game does not know who you are, we can only find data by device identifier. To ask us to delete data connected to your device, or to withdraw consent, email us at the address in section 9 and we will do what we reasonably can, including passing the request to our service providers. You can also stop all further collection by turning off tracking (section 5) or by deleting the Game. Reinstalling the Game after removing all of our apps may create a new random device identifier.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU or UK, or in certain US states such as California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or limit certain uses, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of data for advertising. You can exercise these rights by emailing us at the address in section 9. Declining the tracking prompt (section 5) is the quickest way to opt out of cross-app tracking. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
8. Children
Flood Pairs is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the Game, email us and we will work to have it deleted.

10. Changes to this policy
If we change what the Game collects (for example, by adding advertising or purchases), we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the new version is released. The privacy details shown on the Game's App Store page will be updated at the same time.
